Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou is participating at the annual ministerial meeting of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), taking place in Paris (May 27-28). Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Papaconstantinou said that he had briefed his counterparts on the government’s initiatives towards fiscal consolidation. He also discussed tax policy issues with OECD officials and announced the signing of two significant agreements aimed at promoting transparency and exchange of information for tax purposes
